by minimus infor a while now, when someone asks me why jw's don't celebrate birthdays, i tell them the unadulterated truth.
i say that in the bible, 2 pagans celebrated their birthdays and 2 people got killed, and that's why we don't celebrate birthdays.then if someone asks about why we can celebrate anniverseries, i tell them that nobody got killed for celebrating one, so it's up to our conscience.
if someone asks if we take blood transfusions, i say no, but, we will take (and i name the different components) other portions of the blood.

minimus ; that is good , but i blast thhe jw's right from the start. i catch them at the train station and work them over and any who take mag's . if some christian show's up and gets in , we have a tag team, and i fill them in on what the wt really teaches. these times are the best. cause i give the bible thumper info on the wt. and they in hand are whiping the jw's from another angle i'm not so up on.. talk about happy day's ....minimus when are you going to step out and be a man ...love john

Got my elders visit yesterday...
by meat pie ini've been off-line for a bit, broken what-not in the computer,just got back on so i thought i'd tell you what happened yesterday.elder d rang to ask if 'we' could visit, ok says i, the other is the old ms who i studied with.
meantime i'd got my file on un/wts ready(it's been ready for ages) and primed husband to witness the entertainment.this went on for about an hour and a half.i was utterly in control of myself and the entire interrogation(me of them).neither of them would look at any of my evidence of the wt's blasphemous hypocrisy, so i read it out to them,(you come to my house so i'm going to tell you this) they tried to wriggle their way out but i wanted them to admit their weakness.
i really let them have it.they parried i thrusted.

Sandy ; you have the strenght. just use what lies you know about the wt , and hold them on these points. they will to say it was a mistake ,or change the subject .. if you keep repeating false prophecies and keep asking was this proper spritual food at the proper time, and was this worship acceptable to the real god of the bible . if you don't let them off the subject . they will fold like a house of cards. but you have to keep asking these 2 questions over and over . no bull yes or no . you will win easy.. that's a prophecy ... and you will bust them easy .. it works every time , but you can't let them out of the questions. remember you are the boss... john

meat pie ; so you gave them a taste of their own medicine. you never let them out of the box for and hour and half.. wow.sounds like you put their heads in a vise... pressure pressure. i would have payed to see the steam coming out of their ears, with each turn of the screw !!! when they call you again ,ask them have they done the research on the points you brought up . when they say no . tell them only to call you when they have looked up all the facts. till then they are speaking presumptuosly in the name of god. when you know what you are talking about then we can talk. have a nice day ...... have fun john

sf i do give them my phone # . i'm not scared of them in any way i tell them to bring the p.o. c.o etc. a few have called . they have not lasted more than a few calls .. i try to get their #'s and have called them many times and they don't like it . it is a taste of their own medicine and i show no quarter. it has it's place. if you can deal with it .. after a hour or 2 with me on the phone they don't want no more. i even went to a kh after a jw i talked to for a month . said i need to speak to the elders . so i went and i shut up 5 of them . talk about planting seeds . they couldn't wait to get me out the door.. but they all heard what i had to say and i came with wt quotes dates and pgs. etc sf you have to much so it is good to tell the jw's bring the elders over. make them look like crap infront of their flock......john

yes it is true they never forget what a informed apostate says, and one day they will run across it again. nothing like showing the jw's some light and it does work, how many here got their first intro into the facts about the wt from apostates. remember rome was not build in a day it takes time. who knows what else the jw's get at another door? maybe a fundie bible preacher who' knows the bible better than the jw ? i truely think the jw's are losing the battle at the doors. when you give them a question that makes them run . they have lost and they know it. the seed has been planted it's all a question of time. when the rain will fall and make it grow. thanx SF you did the right thing with the kid. i bet he's on the puter right now .!it is very serious when you witness to a jw , shutting them down is the first step, they are not used to it. thanx for all the info ... i want to see more here take on the jw's when they show up at their door . that's what it is all about. i know most here can handle the jw's with ease. all you need to do is try .... you might be helping someone without even knowing it.....john

sf: don't it feel good to blow the wts out of the water with a smile. yes it's good to let them know that they are NOT informed about the wts. i only wish they would come to my door i even went to the hall and asked them to come. no luck i have to find them. glad you worked on the kid that's the one god sent to your door! once you know what you are talking about , the jw's have a hard time. i know you went straight over their heads with wt info. sounds like you planted a whole field of SEEDS in the kids head. if you see him again in the street . talk to him some more . if i was you i would have gave the boy my phone # and invited him back to talk anytime. i like to do this when the jw's say i'm lying. it shows that you have no fear you are even willing to go to the kh library and back up what you say in their books. that REALLY SCARES THEM. just by having them run away shows they didn't have a programmed answer for you. but it was to late , the seed was planted. aGAIN great work . john

refiners ; i thought i was the only one that liked the 1919 stuff. i keep pounding the jw's on it. this week i used that in 1917 any one that protested the war in ww1 was put in jail. and for the organisers like the wt and other war protesters in ww1 they were given 20 years in prison in the U>S> it is funny that the jw's forget all the other preachers and anti war org's in 1917. if the gov't were to follow the law of 1917 today every war protester would be jailed and the leaders be put in prison for 20 years. i think it was the sedition act. of 1917. just think people like jesse jackson and u.s. senators and the president of france could be taken out of the hands of babylon the great when the war is over wow the god in brooklyn is great..john

by Victorian sky inis anyone else under pressure from family to attend the memorial?if so how are you handling it?
in my family's case the truth might be too blunt and i dont' know how to soften the blow.
